Vatican City – During a hastily arranged and widely unexpected press conference, Cardinal Frederico Estravellia, head of the Vatican’s Public Affairs Department (VPAD), revealed to an astonished audience of several hundreds of journalists and spectators The Lord’s plans for a “well-deserved sabbatical.” The Lord’s intention came to light after a closed meeting with His Holiness, Pope Francis, which took place the night before.
While Cardinal Estravellia was not at liberty to reveal a location, he indicated the Lord’s absence would start on January 20, 2017, and it would be “with a high level of probability” far away from earth. The Cardinal also reminded everybody of the Lord’s last vacancy, which took place between 1933 and 1945. Responding to repeated questions, he also indicated that the duration is expected to be somewhere between four and eight years.
